Shinogami Sandles

I hand weaved these together from rafia....
I suggest paying the extra buck and get a bag of pre-breaded rafia, you'll need about a bag per sandle.
knit 4 for 2 rows, add a stich on both sides (that's adding two stiches in total) continue knitting for 3 rows, knit two together on the inside of the foot (right side for left foot, left side for right foot) knit 3 more rows. knit two together on opposite side and keep going untill long enough to cover heal (about 10-13 rows) then take remainder braid and at point of second toe poke the briad through the top then back up through the bottom, twist together for about an inch, then slip one braid through the other. poke through edge of the sandle mid way down the foot, then at the end, wrap around ankle and tie. about 4 hours of work per sandle, if you buy pre-braided.
